Rafting and Working for Wilderness Voyageurs

I have had the great opportunity to not only work for Wilderness Voyageurs in reservations this season but also go rafting as well. I can't say enough about the staff and Eric, Kasia and Lynn. I got to experience the Lower Yough and go on our staff trip to the Upper Gauley. WOW!! What an experience that was!! I am looking forward to learning how to kayak this fall and in the spring so I can run the loop on my lunch break next season. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

hey folks,

It's the middle of october and boy is it getting chilly! The leaves are changing and the water temperature is dropping. Despite the cold weather, the white water rafting trips are still running! Here our very own Max helps a young woman, who fell out of her raft above cucumber rapid, up and out of the water. Regardless of the temperature, there is still fun to be had out on the river.

As I was hiking through the woods to take pictures of the guided trip, I stopped and admired the beauty of nature. Everything is so pristine and untouched. During the fall months, Ohiopyle is graced with the beauty of fall. I would recommend coming down and taking a long walk through the woods or pedaling down the bike trail to see autumn at its prime.
take care everyone,
